Terms of use

The short version

• You must be 18 or older.
• You are talking to a stranger. Skip if it feels wrong.
• Do not harass, threaten, or break the law.
• We provide matchmaking, not a guaranteed good conversation.

The service

Connectoo matches you with another person for an audio-only conversation. Optional text chat may appear in the same room. Voice travels peer to peer when possible. We do matchmaking, signaling, and live chat relay. We do not record calls and we do not keep chat history after the room ends.

Matches are random. We do not screen who you get, verify identity, or promise availability, quality, or that a partner will stay on the call.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. The product is random stranger chat. It is not for children. If we learn someone under 18 is using it, we may block access.

Your responsibilities

You agree that you will not:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or sexually exploit anyone.
• Share sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits children — that is illegal and we will treat it as such.
• Promote violence, terrorism, scams, or other criminal activity.
• Record, stream, or publish a call or chat without the other person’s clear consent, where the law requires it.
• Share personal data you do not have the right to share (yours or someone else’s).
• Attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service, or bypass skip/leave/matchmaking.
• Impersonate Connectoo or misrepresent who you are in a way meant to defraud.

You are responsible for what you say, type, and play through your microphone. Your match can hear you and read your chat. Do not treat a random room as private or privileged.

Skip, leave, and ending a session

Skip ends the current match and looks for someone new. Leave ends the session for you. Closing the tab also ends your participation. We may disconnect idle, abusive, or broken sessions. A short reconnect window may restore a match after a refresh or drop; that is a convenience, not a guarantee.

Accounts

There are no accounts. Use of the app is the agreement. A random client id in your browser is only for reconnecting a live session, not a profile.

Our rights

We may change, pause, or stop the service at any time. We may refuse, rate-limit, or terminate access if we believe these terms were broken or the service is at risk. Report and ban tools may arrive later; until then, skip and leave are the immediate controls.

Intellectual property

Connectoo, the site design, and related marks are ours or our licensors’. You may not copy the product, brand, or assets except as the law allows (for example, fair use). You keep rights in what you say; you grant us a limited license to relay it in real time so the other person can hear or read it.

Privacy

How we handle voice, chat, and session data is described in our privacy policy. That policy is part of how we operate the service. For practical guidance, read the safety guide.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” Conversations with strangers can be unpleasant, offensive, or unsafe. We do not control other users. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that matching will work, that audio will be clear, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connectoo and the people who operate it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or emotional distress, arising from your use of the service or from anything another user says or does. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to zero, because the product is free — or, if a court will not allow that, the minimum amount required by law.

Some places do not allow certain limitations. If you are in one of those places, some of the above may not apply, and you may have extra rights.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees that arise from your use of Connectoo, your content, or your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If you keep using Connectoo after an update, you accept the new terms.
